New York Times Travel Show to Showcase Latest Global Travel Trends, Jan 24-26

NEW YORK—Dubai Tourism, in association with Expo 2020 Dubai, will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2020 New York Times Travel Show, to be held on January 24-26, 2020 in the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

Dubai Tourism will offer Travel Show attendees a variety of Dubai-focused programming and incentives during each day of the annual event, including a Dubai Focus on Travel session on Friday, January 24 for the travel trade and a presentation Saturday, January 25 for travelers.

The 2020 New York Times Travel Show–now in its 17th year–will open with a Trade Day exclusively for over 11,000 travel industry professionals and media on Friday, January 26; Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27 will be open to over 23,000 consumer travelers, as well as to travel professionals and media. The three-day showcase will feature global cuisine tastings, cultural performances, travel book signings, one-on-one conversations with travel experts and special discounts and offers for consumers of all ages from over 750 exhibitors.

This year, Travel Show attendees will be able to partake in a variety of offerings related to travel to countless destinations and other program highlights including a Trade Day keynote panel on the state of the travel industry, moderated by James Shillinglaw; expanded Travel Products; an LGBTQ pavilion; a Family Fun stage; and much more.

Annual Event to Showcase Latest in Global Travel Trends January 27-29, 2017

Registration is now open for the 2017 New York Times Travel Show, the largest and longest-running trade and consumer travel show in North America. The event will take place from Friday, Jan. 27 to Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Tickets are available atNYTimes.com/TravelShow.

“Welcome to the World” is the theme for this year’s Travel Show, where industry experts and travel enthusiasts come together to share the latest travel news, trends and inspiration for the year ahead. The Travel Show features more than 525 exhibitors from around the world and is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees.

Highlights of the 2017 New York Times Travel Show

Travel for the Mind, Body and Soul – For a second year, the 2017 Travel Show will feature a Wellness Travel Pavilion, including a Best Life Stage, Get Fit Zone, and various booths. Each day, the pavilion will host and showcase leading experts in the wellness travel industry, including hotels, resorts, spas and other organizations.

Family First – New for 2017 is The Family Travel Pavilion featuring exhibit booth space, a Presentation stage and a kids demonstration area. The pavilion will showcase leading players in the Family travel space, including lodges, resorts, destinations, cruise lines and dude ranches. The New York Times Travel Show is proud to announce the Family Travel Association is an Industry Sponsor of the inaugural Family Travel Pavilion at the 2017 Show.

Trade Day – The first day of the Travel Show on Friday, Jan. 27 is reserved exclusively for travel industry professionals and members of the media. Screen star, travel writer Andrew McCarthy to appear at Great Vacations Travel Expo, Columbus, Jan 18-20

The AAA Ohio Auto Club is gearing up for the fifth annual Great Vacations Travel EXPO, presented by AAA, slated for January 18-20, 2013. Held at Franklin County Veterans Memorial in Downtown Columbus, the EXPO is a one-stop shop for everything related to travel. The event offers central Ohio consumers information and EXPO-only deals and the best travel values on everything, from exotic cruises and European vacations to affordable escapes that are close to home.

Andrew McCarthy, National Geographic Traveler editor-at-large and author of the popular, new travel book, The Longest Way Home, will appear at the EXPO on Sunday, January 20 at 1 p.m. on the AAA Travel Stage, presented by DIRECTV. Perhaps best known for his roles in a long list of hit movies, such as Weekend at Bernie’s, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo’s Fire, and Less than Zero, the actor-turned-author has since added the title of “Travel Journalist” to his resume.
