Miami Beach is helping sun seekers find their seasonal beach escape with exclusive travel deals and offers this fall and winter. Discounts of up to 25 percent off are being offered at several area hotels including Dream South Beach, Loews Miami Beach, Mondrian South Beach, Gale South Beach and W South Beach.

Atlantic City’s Free July 4 Fireworks Spectacular Moved to Sunday, July 6 at 9:30 pm

Atlantic City’s free 4^th of July Fireworks Spectacular show scheduled for this Friday will be moved to Sunday, July 6^th at 9:30pm.

“While Hurricane Arthur is predicted to be far off shore Friday night, the effects on the ocean waves and the accompanying wind would hinder our fireworks show from reaching its full potential that night, and possibly create a safety hazard.  So we decided to move our fireworks show back to Sunday, July 6^th at 9:30pm,” Mayor Guardian said.

“In addition, we wanted to give residents and tourists an opportunity to end their 4^th of July holiday weekend with a ‘bang’.  We figured having the biggest fireworks show on the Jersey Shore on a Sunday night would be a perfect way to end the weekend.

So for those who are coming to Atlantic City this weekend, you won’t be disappointed.  The weather for both Saturday and Sunday looks terrific.  According to the Weather Channel, both Saturday and Sunday are forecasted to be completely sunny, with temperatures in the low 80s, and having a zero percent chance of rain.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  I will see you out on Atlantic City’s beaches, boardwalk, and Marina District!”

The “Sky Concert^tm” was created by Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, and is presented by the Atlantic City Alliance.  Song selections were chosen “by the people” from a contest that was held by the Atlantic City Alliance.  Viewing locations will be near the Steel Pier, the Pier Shops at Caesars, and in the Marina District.  The program will begin at 9:30pm, and will include 10,000 fireworks shells and effects.  In the final 30 seconds alone, more than 1,000 shells will be fired.”

The Wildwoods’ July 4th Holiday Weekend is Packed with Family Fun and Entertainment

July 4^th Weekend in the Wildwoods is filled with events and live entertainment – many of them FREE to attend – and a gtrr fireworks spectacular unlike any other at the Jersey Shore.

Independence Day Parade
The holiday weekend kicks off on Friday morning, July 4, with the Wildwoods Independence Day Parade and the Patriotic Pooch Parade. The Independence Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. at 9^th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood and proceeds north to 1^st and Surf  Avenues. The Patriotic Pooch Parade will join the march through the Wildwoods at 8^th and Atlantic Avenues. Dogs of all shapes and sizes will parade along the streets dressed in patriotic garb alongside decorated bicycles. Prizes will be awarded for the best bikes decorated with a red, white and blue theme, along with prizes for the best dressed pooches. To register, call 609-522-2955.The event is FREE to attend.

Beach ‘n Boardwalk 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Walk
The Beach ‘n Boardwalk 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Walk will also take place Friday morning from 9-11 a.m. The 5K Fun Run will begin at the iconic Wildwoods Sign located at Rio Grande and Ocean Avenues, and travel north to the Wildwoods Convention Center, then down the boardwalk extension to the beach. The route will run south and continue on the hard packed sand to Primrose Avenue in Wildwood Crest, looping back to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the completion of the race. The 1-Mile Walk will head down the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue and back to the Wildwoods Convention Center. Awards will be presented at the Wildwoods Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to “Top Finishers” and “Most Patriotic Dressed.” All funds raised from the Beach ‘n Boardwalk 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Walk will be used to help maintain the Wildwoods Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Registration will take place from 7-8:45 a.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center. The registration fee is $25 for adults and $10 for students 18 and younger. Free Summer Concert
Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4, families can enjoy a free Summer Concert at Fox Park featuring “Changes in Latitude,” a Jimmy Buffett tribute band. Bring your beach chair or blanket and groove to the smooth sounds of Jimmy Buffett classics such as “Margaritaville,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Volcano” and many more. “Changes in Latitude” is sure to have the crowd on its feet dancing and singing along. The BeachGlow Music Festival comes to the Wildwoods beach on Saturday, July 5 from 3-11 p.m. BeachGlow Concerts for Charity, Inc., the only non-profit EDM (electronic dance music) concert producer in the nation, will bring a concert to the beach at Schellenger Avenue in Wildwood featuring Dvbbs, along with Kap Slap, Get KunKed, Gazzo, Kasum, DJ Prime, Jai Wolf, PRFFTT & Svyable, Almond, Grant & Duval and HardPartBros. One additional opening set will be filled by the winner of an upcoming local New Jersey DJ contest.
