Snow Valley will join the operations of Big Bear Mountain Resort in Big Bear Lake, including Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, creating expanded access in Southern California and opening up new terrain to skiers and riders who call one of the three mountains home.

Easily accessible from Pasadena, Santa Monica, Los Angeles and San Diego, and located just 11 miles from Big Bear Lake, the new three-mountain experience will offer skiers and riders the ability to progress from beginner to intermediate to expert terrain. With a focus on the beginning of that progression, Snow Valley features some of the region’s best beginner terrain, with award-winning learning centers and a shared dedication to exceptional guest service. The addition of the resort also means that skiers and riders will have access to Southern California’s only chairlift serviced sledding area for enhanced snow play during the winter season.

This is the fifth season that Ikon Pass has been available. When it was launched, in 2018, it offered 36 ski destinations, which have increased this year to 54 – totaling 177,000 acres spanning five continents.
Among the exclusive benefits are friends and family discounts, discounts on food, lodging, and destination deals.
In addition, passholders have access to Ikon Pass Travel, launched to a limited degree last season, a one-stop shop for skiers and riders to arrange all the elements of their holiday: Browse air fares, hotels, activities and customized an itinerary. Panorama Mountain Resort, British Columbia, Canada: Everything that rocks about the Canadian Rockies – big vertical, big views, and big mountain vibes – can be found at Panorama. Located on British Columbia’s famed Powder Highway, Panorama offers winter enthusiasts 4,265 feet of vertical, wide-open fall-line cruisers, powder-filled tree lines, and the steep and deep exhilaration of Taynton Bowl. Adventure Assurance: Each Ikon Pass comes with Adventure Assurance, a free pass holder benefit program that offers options to Ikon Pass holders that help provide flexibility and alleviate some uncertainty throughout the winter season.
Defer: Prior to December 8, 2022, should a 22/23 Ikon Pass holder not use their pass after purchase, for any reason, they may elect to defer and receive a full credit of their purchase price to be used toward the purchase of a 23/24 Ikon Pass. Unused passes will not automatically defer to next season, pass holders who decide to defer their 22/23 Ikon Pass must elect to defer their unused pass in My Account by December 8, 2022.
Covid Closure Credits: If passes are used and there is an eligible COVID-19-related closure at any North American Ikon Pass destination from December 17, 2022 – March 5, 2023, Ikon Pass holders will receive a credit toward a 23/24 Ikon Pass based on the percentage of days closed.

Last spring, Ikon Pass introduced Adventure Assurance, the industry’s first free program that offers options to Ikon Pass holders that help provide flexibility and alleviate some uncertainty throughout the winter season. This year, Adventure Assurance comes free with every 21/22 Ikon Pass product.
Prior to December 9, 2021, should a 21/22 Ikon Pass holder not use their pass after purchase, for any reason, they may elect to defer and receive a full credit of their purchase price to be used toward a 22/23 Ikon Pass. The pass holder must elect to defer their unused pass in My Account by December 9, 2021.
Or, if passes are used and there is an eligible COVID-19-related closure at any North American Ikon Pass destination from December 18, 2021 – March 6, 2022, Ikon Pass holders will receive a credit toward a 22/23 Ikon Pass based on the percentage of days closed.
