  1. Argentina Wine + Photo Adventure– Mom will join renowned Argentine photographer, teacher, and documentary filmmaker, Ossian Lindholm, on the first-ever photography + high-altitude wine tour of Northwest Argentina. This is a magical journey that is perfect for photographers and wine lovers of all levels. Mom will be immersed in the region’s geography, wildlife, cuisine, and culture.

  1. Cycle Villages of Provence – Take Mom on Ride & Seek’s Provence cycling tour through the most beautiful villages of France as ordained by the group Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. This tour emphasizes authentic cuisine and local wines. There is a wonderful correlation between fine wine growing areas and world-class cycling.

The deadline for registration for “Awaken in Nature,” presented by Women’s Empowerment Workshop is approaching at the end of August.  The transformational five day program takes place in Vail, Colorado, September 11-15, which also includes months of follow-up coaching.

Women’s Empowerment Workshop, which was offered for the first time in Vail last fall, holds retreats around the globe. With a mind/body/soul/nature connection focus, Vail’s Awaken in Nature retreat in September is specifically geared to meet the needs of women of all ages and abilities, without leaving the U.S.  Led by experts in each field, the retreat includes activities such as rafting, kayaking, healing via horses, hiking, rock climbing, yoga and more.

Headquartered at the plush Vail Racquet Club, meals during the all-inclusive retreat will be provided by Vail’s popular restaurant, Blu’s.

Experts leading Awaken in nature include founder Susie Kincade, a Transformational Wilderness Guide, a Ted Series speaker, former Olympic-level competitor and a person who can relate across a wide spectrum of women’s lives due to her prior experiences in both the corporate and private business marketing sectors.  Joining Kincade are Victoria FittsMilgrim, Founder of True Life Coaching and specializing in The Heroine’s Journey, Equine Therapy innovator Melisa Pearce, founder of Touched by a Horse and practicer of the Gestalt method of learning, and Josie Fenton, a Wilderness Therapist and Life Coach who founded the Lodestone Way Coaching program.

The all-inclusive innovative retreat includes:

**5 days/4 nights lodging at Vail Racquet Club (alternatives available for local residents)

**All meals

**All activities, including rafting, kayaking, healing via horses, hiking, rock climbing, yoga and more

**A seasoned and passionate full team of counselors, leaders and experts in their field, available for both group discovery sessions and one-on-one time

**Price: $1,900, all-inclusive, including lodging meals, activities, coaching and more.

Founder Susie Kincade began the program “after recognizing the growing sense of separation that people are feeling from the natural systems of the Earth.” Sensing the lack of awareness of what human impact is having on the Earth, Kincade connected the separation to what humans do in their own lives and created programming that combines adventure, education and mentorship while experiencing nature. The resulting re-connection to the Earth also enriches everyday life choices.

May 3, 2013

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Women’s Empowerment Workshop presents Heart2Heart, a weekend retreat for mothers and daughters ages 16 and older.

Created by Susie Kincade and featuring a stellar crew of professional guides, Heart2Heart offers a nurturing, playful experience in nature for mothers and daughters to enrich and deepen their relationship, build trust, and explore the phases of womanhood together. The retreat will be held May 17-19 in Vail, Colorado at the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort.

“Being attuned to our surroundings, to the natural world, to our family members, offers us so many opportunities to give and to receive,” says Kincade. “It connects us deeply to the wholeness of life. Most importantly, we become more connected to the source within us-to our own capacity for love.”

  • Delicious, healthy meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast)
  • Transportation within Vail to and from activities

The retreat drew attendees from as far away as Pakistan and from a dozen U.S. states. DENVER, COLO. (March 1, 2011) —

Camp isn’t just for kids anymore with the sixth annual CampExperience™, a one-of-a-kind retreat for women in Copper Mountain, Colo., on Sept. 23 – 25. More than 200 women from some of the country’s top organizations and businesses will come together in this casual mountain setting for a weekend of education, inspiration and networking.

“After five years of CampExperience™ we have the formula: bring together coworkers, colleagues, sisters, mothers and daughters, and friends for 2.5 days of education, inspiration and networking and you have a powerful platform to uplift dreams and change lives,” says founder Betsy Wiersma.  “Many camp ‘sisters’ return every year as well as attend our other pre-camp events.”

More than 150 campers are already signed up to share the energy of national keynote speakers like Victoria Moran (www.victoriamoran.com) and Linda Larsen (www.lindalarsen.com), applaud Women Who Rock award winners, and indulge in “adventure” activities such as dance, biking, fly-fishing, self defense and a camp favorite, PsycheHiking.

Workshops this year are a new format with 2.5 hour “emersion” sessions with hand-on learning and experiences on topics such as advocacy, writing a book, embracing food as fuel and healthy weight management, emotional intelligence and stress-less living. There’s also yoga and Qi Gong to start the day, and a hands-on Creativity Corner is open throughout the weekend with pottery, jewelry making, painting and fabric art.

The popular Charity Bow-tique is back and doubled in size to offer more retail fun to benefit this year’s charity partners: Warren Village, United Way Women’s Self Sufficiency Programs, Women’s Bean Project and Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center.  Campers are asked to give three gently used or new items for the Bow-tique and to sign up for personal services (e.g., massages, reflexology, reiki and more) in exchange for a donation.

Since 2006, CampExperience™ has donated more than $138,000 in cash and in excess of 12,000 pounds of clothing and household goods to its charity partners.

“CampExperience™ is my annual respite to refuel, recharge my batteries and reconnect to amazing women in the community. In my busy life, I appreciate that CampExperience™ is built for me and maximizes my personal and business success,” says five-year camper Carol Calkins of Denver.

Pre-Camp Events
CampExperience™ also will host MiniCamp at Regis University in Denver on April 20, a Charity Kick-Off Party at The Closet Factory in Centennial on May 18, a Sleepover Adventure at Spruce Mountain Guest Ranch in Larkspur on June 2 – 3, and many free networking events throughout the year.  For more information about camp and these events and to sign up for a free newsletter, visit www.CampExperience.com or call 720.840.4001. You do not need to be registered for CampExperience™ to attend pre-camp events.

Host sponsors are Staples, MillerCoors, Colorado View Magazine, The Kentwood Company at Cherry Creek, KUVO Radio, Garvin’s Sewer Service, Clarity International, BBVA Compass, Tomboy Tools, Silpada Designs Farmers Insurance Group and Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado.
