NYC & Company, New York City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced that NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011 will be extended through Sunday, February 27, at more than 200 top dining establishments. Extension participants include Atlantic Grill at Lincoln Center, Betel, Fishtail by David Burke, Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse, The National, Nobu New York, Plein Sud and Red Rooster Harlem. Prices will remain $24.07 for three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 for three-course prix-fixe dinners (Saturdays excluded; Sundays optional. Beverages, gratuities and taxes are not included. Offers not valid on February 14).
“The extension of NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011 gives diners more incentive to sample some of the City’s best dining and offers a great boost to the more than 200 participating restaurants during a traditionally slow season,” said NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta. “For three more weeks our City’s neighborhoods will celebrate the art of cooking, the pleasure of dining and making time to sit down for a proper meal.”
To kick off the extension on Monday, February 7, five women dressed as the “face” of NYC Restaurant Week will distribute NYC Restaurant Week booklets outside Grand Central Terminal from 8am to 2pm. The ToshibaVision sign atop One Times Square will also feature NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2011 extension media through February 27.
American Express® and Travelocity® have also extended hotel offers for American Express® Cardmembers through February 27. Travelers who book a Travelocity NYC Restaurant Week hotel stay qualify to receive $75 off bookings over $250 when they use any eligible American Express Card. This is in addition to discounts and deals offered by participating hotels.
